The Class of 2017 sings "I'll Always Remember You" at HBA's 64th Commencement Ceremony on June 3.
The Class of 2017 celebrated their achievements at HBA's 64th Commencement Ceremony on June 3 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall.
The valedictorian was Khristian Vinca, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dondi Vinca. Khristian's brother, Jensen '14, was also a valedictorian. Khristian will be participating in a two-year entrepreneurship program at CreatEd Institute in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Afterwards, he plans to study Business and Astrophysics.
Joshua Joo and April Laxamana were the salutatorians. Joshua is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Si Deuk Joo. He will be attending the University of Southern California. April is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Laxamana. She will be attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa. April also received the Eagle Scholar Award from HBA's Parent Teacher Fellowship, for receiving all A's in grades nine through 12.
Kylie Aoki was honored with the H.P. and Mary McCormick Distinguished Founders Award for consistently exemplifying Christian character during her years at HBA.
Twenty-seven students were recognized as sons and daughters of HBA, for attending the school from kindergarten through grade 12.
Claire Mitchell, high school science teacher and senior advisor, delivered the commencement address.
